🧠 Similar diagnoses to rule outThe signs of a stroke resemble other conditions: head trauma, heat stroke, hypoglycemia. Be precise during questioning in order to apply the correct protocol.

⏱ Transient symptoms — Seek care anywayEven if the signs and symptoms have fully resolved, the victim must seek care at a hospital as soon as possible.

🤝 Role of the rescuerYour main task is to reassure and calm the victim. A victim in a calm state can limit the damage resulting from a stroke.

🌡 Thermal comfortCover the victim with a warm or foil blanket. Stop all activity and loosen clothing.

📊 Continuous reassessmentReassess the victim's vital signs (ABC) frequently until emergency services arrive.

🩺 If another protocol is indicatedIf the FAST test is negative, apply the medical or trauma protocol suited to the observed clinical situation.
